When we overhaul or
rebuild a transmission, we hoist the vehicle up in the air and one of
our mechanics remove the transmission from the vehicle.
The transmission is
then completely disassembled, cleaned and all components are inspected
for wear. We replace all bad hard parts, clutches, sealing rings,
gaskets, seals, thrust washers, bands and any solenoids that are have
failed.
We
also clean and go completely through the valve body.
While the transmission is
out of the vehicle, we flush the cooler line system, cleaning all
contaminated particles from the lines. We also replace any bad
cooler lines if needed, as a bad cooler line could cause fluid leakage
causing the transmission to fail and/or burn up.
Before the transmission is
reinstalled and for the customer's convenience, we also replace the
engines rear main seal, to save them hundreds of dollars should it need
replacing later.
We also replace any bad or
broken transmission and motor mounts, as well as axle seals and axles.
The transmission is then
reinstalled and filled with fluid, test driven and adjusted before
returning to you. |
